The idea of God changing his mind is simply playing with narrative perspective...perspective that I don't have. So I have to fall back to 'who holds the future.'

I understand that this is simply one floor up from rank Stoicism, but that's all I've got.

MMarshall Webberhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10928162022059963920noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3894900671202619851.post-81551029386183674222014-12-01T09:04:30.586-06:002014-12-01T09:04:30.586-06:00Jesus changed his mind. He initially told the Samaritan woman that the children's food should not be fed to the dogs, but she, in a quick witted way, pointed out that even the dogs catch the crumbs beneath the table. He also relented and performed a healing based on her faith. Perhaps you could look at God that way....that humans Faith plays a role, that somehow we are co-creators with God...have you heard the saying that "Without God, we cannot and Without us, God will not"? I find that in the same vein when I think about it. Thanks for the thought provoking discussion.

SherrillAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
